Answer:

Magic Link steps for users:

1. Identify the Magic Link Email Address:

Please add support@teflonconnect.com to your email provider using the steps below. Look for the email address from which you receive the magic links. It’s typically the same email address every time and might come from the service or application you’re accessing.

2. Add to Allowlist/Whitelist:

Gmail:

  • Open Gmail.
  • Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner, then select “See all settings”.
  • Go to the “Filters and Blocked Addresses” tab.
  • Click “Create a new filter”.
  • In the “From” field, enter the email address from which you receive the magic links.
  • Click “Create filter”.
  • Check the box next to “Never send it to Spam”.
  • Click “Create filter”.

Outlook (Hotmail):

  • Log in to your Outlook (Hotmail) account.
  • Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner and select “View all Outlook settings”.
  • Go to “Junk email” in the left sidebar.
  • Click on “Safe senders and domains”.
  • Enter the email address in the provided text box under “Safe senders”.
  • Click “Add”.

Yahoo Mail:

  • Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
  • Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner and select “More Settings”.
  • Click on “Filters” in the left sidebar.
  • Click on “Add” to create a new filter.
  • Enter a name for the filter.
  • In the “From” field, enter the email address.
  • Under “Then move the message to this folder”, select “Inbox”.
  • Click “Save”.

Other Email Providers:

  • For other email providers, look for options related to spam filters, safe senders, or allowlists
(sometimes called whitelists) in your account settings.
  • Typically, you would navigate to account settings or preferences, then find a section related to spam or security settings.
  • Enter the email address from which you receive the magic links into the appropriate field or list.

3. Confirmation:

  • After adding the email address to your allowlist or whitelist, check your inbox settings to ensure the changes are saved.
  • You may need to wait a few moments or log out and back in for the changes to take effect.

By following these steps, users can ensure that emails containing magic links are less likely to be marked as spam or have embedded links screened, improving the reliability of receiving and using magic links for authentication or access purposes.
